Ordering at Starbucks - 스타벅스에서 주문하기

 

티스토리(Tistory)를 떠나 새로운 곳에서 둥지를 틀면서 Travel English (여행 영어) 메뉴를 추가해 보려 한다.

오늘은 그 첫 번째로 Ordering at Starbucks (스타벅스에서 주문하기). 주문 과정에서 있을 수 있는 대화를 2개의 예문으로 만들어 연습할 수 있도록 했다.

Barista: Good morning! Welcome to Starbucks. What can I get started for you today?

Customer: Hi there! I'd love to have a grande caramel macchiato, please. And could you make that with almond milk?

Barista: Sure, one grande caramel macchiato with almond milk coming up! Would you like it hot or iced?

Customer: I'll have it iced, please. Perfect for a day like this. Also, could I add a shot of espresso to that?

Barista: Sure thing! I'll add a shot of espresso to your caramel macchiato. Is there anything else I can get for you today? Maybe a pastry or a snack to go with your coffee?

Customer: Yes, actually. Could I get a slice of the lemon loaf? I've heard it's really good here. That'll be all, thank you.

Barista: Alright, your total is $15. You can pay here at the counter.  Will you pay a cash or a card?

Customer: I'll pay with my card, thanks. [Hands over the card]. By the way, is the lemon loaf as good as everyone says?

Barista: Thank you. I think so. I bet it will be a good trial. [Processes payment] Your grande iced caramel macchiato with almond milk and a slice of the lemon loaf will be ready at the pickup area in just a few moments. Thank you for choosing Starbucks! Have a wonderful day!

Customer: Thank you very much! I'm looking forward to trying it. Have a great day too! [Takes the card and receipt, then heads to the pickup area to wait for the order.]

바리스타: 안녕하세요! 스타벅스에 오신 것을 환영합니다. 오늘 무엇을 도와드릴까요?

고객: 안녕하세요! 그란데 사이즈 카라멜 마키아토 하나 주세요. 아몬드 밀크로 만들어 주실 수 있나요?

바리스타: 네, 아몬드 밀크로 만든 그란데 사이즈 카라멜 마키아토 하나 나옵니다! 뜨겁게 드릴까요, 아니면 아이스로 드릴까요?

고객: 아이스로 주세요. 오늘 같은 날엔 딱이네요. 그리고 에스프레소 샷 추가해 주실 수 있나요?

바리스타: 물론이죠! 카라멜 마키아토에 에스프레소 샷 추가해 드리겠습니다. 오늘 다른 것도 더 필요하신가요? 커피와 함께 드실 간식이나 패스트리는 어떠세요?

고객: 네, 사실 그렇게 하려고요. 레몬 로프 한 조각 주세요. 여기가 정말 맛있다고 들었어요. 이걸로 됐습니다, 감사합니다.

바리스타: 알겠습니다, 총 금액은 15달러입니다. 여기 카운터에서 현금이나 카드로 결제하실 수 있습니다.

고객: 카드로 할게요, 감사합니다. [카드를 건네며] 그런데, 레몬 로프가 정말로 사람들이 말하는 만큼 좋나요?

바리스타: 네, 정말 좋다고 생각해요. [결제 처리] 아몬드 밀크로 만든 그란데 사이즈 아이스 카라멜 마키아토와 레몬 로프 한 조각은 잠시 후 픽업 구역에서 준비될 겁니다. 스타벅스를 선택해 주셔서 감사합니다! 좋은 하루 되세요!

Barista: Good afternoon! Welcome to Starbucks. What can I get for you today?

Customer: Good afternoon! I'd like to try a tall vanilla latte, please. And can you make it with oat milk?

Barista: Absolutely, one tall vanilla latte with oat milk. Would you prefer it hot or iced?

Customer: Make it hot, please. It's a bit chilly today. And can I get an extra sprinkle of cinnamon on top?

Barista: Of course! A hot tall vanilla latte with oat milk and extra cinnamon. Anything else for you today? Maybe a muffin or a sandwich?

Customer: Hmm, I think I'll also take one of your blueberry muffins. They always look so tempting.

Barista: Great choice! Your total is $10.50. Will you be paying with cash or card?

Customer: I'll use my card, thanks. [Hands over the card] Quick question – is the blueberry muffin made fresh here?

Barista: It sure is. We bake them every morning. [Processes payment] Your tall hot vanilla latte with oat milk, extra cinnamon, and a blueberry muffin will be ready at the pickup area soon. Thanks for stopping by Starbucks! Enjoy your day!

Customer: Thanks a lot! You too, have a good one! [Takes the card and receipt, then moves to the pickup area to wait for the order.]

바리스타: 안녕하세요! 스타벅스에 오신 것을 환영합니다. 주문을 도와드릴까요?

고객: 안녕하세요! 바닐라 라떼 Tall 사이즈로 하나 주세요. 오트 밀크로 만들어 주실 수 있나요?

바리스타: 물론이죠, 오트 밀크로 만든 Tall 사이즈 바닐라 라떼요. 뜨겁게 드릴까요, 아니면 아이스로 드릴까요?

고객: 뜨거운 걸로 주세요. 오늘 좀 춥네요. 그리고 위에 시나몬 좀 추가해 주실 수 있나요?

바리스타: 네, 물론입니다! 오트 밀크를 넣은 뜨거운 Tall 사이즈 바닐라 라떼에 시나몬 추가요. 또 필요하신 건 없으세요? 머핀이나 샌드위치는 어떠세요?
